False. All it does is tell the PC that
this area is now available for data. Using the undelete
command the data is easily available.
• Using the format command will make the data unrecoverable.
False. There are many types of format
and often the actual data is not affected. The format
command usually creates a blank index, making it appear
as though the hard disk is blank.
